Armoring

Spent the weekend at Michael Moulton's armoring. Mike and his Lady are fine host and I thank them for their hospitality and Michael for imparting his knowledge in the dying art of Medieval Armoring.

Arriving Friday evening I was immediatly sent to the task of deburing the edges of 18g stainless with my squire brother Seamus and my Knight Syr Raim. Under the watchful eye of Michael we worked a couple hours preparing for a full Saturday. Sleep did not come easy and I awoke as the sun rose eating a hearty breakfast and in the shop by 8am. Over the course of the day I earned a nice blister or two and shed a little blood shaping 2 full arm harness and a half dozen sets of half gauntlets. by evening we were through with the grunt work and welding (Mike is an awesome welder) and slept like a rock that evening after BBQ and deer meatloaf. There is still work to do but the harness is coming along nicely and plan of returning for the final shaping and assembly. Pics are not in any order but we had a blast if you could not tell!
